An ideal class for understanding the basics of Yoga or for anyone getting back to Yoga after a break. Each class goes through selected Yoga postures with 3 postures covered in detail, along with learning invaluable Yoga breathing techniques. The class finishes with relaxation practice which has deeply restorative benefits.

Level 1 Gentle Yoga

Tuesday 9.30-11am amersham community centre

Good for those who want to use Yoga steadily and mindfully because it suits your life stage or health needs or is how you like to practice; gently and with ease.

  • Uses yoga to improve movement, balance and posture

  • Practice relaxation and/or pranayama to support health and mind

  • Reduce general aches and stiffness

  • Great follow-on class for Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs

  • £10 pay as you go or £48 for a block of 6 classes

  • Develop your awareness of the body in Yoga postures

  • More in-depth awareness of breathing

  • learn more about the ideas underpinning Yoga

  • Practise conscious breathing to complement movement and postures

  • Movement is mindful and uses strength as well as working with flexibility.

  • Thursday classes are £12 pay as you go or £6 classes for £60

  • Tuesday evening class is £10 pay as you go or book 6 classes for £48

Create a good space for your body and mind through Yoga practice. This class uses postures, breathing, relaxation and meditative techniques to improve movement, balance and strength and manage stress and tension.

Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs

Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs helps you to manage and improve back issues, allowing you to move away from back pain, using Yoga postures, awareness and relaxation.

This 12 week program brings proven long term benefits for people with back pain, using gentle, progressive and effective Yoga to help you get back to being active again. 

  • First aid Yoga postures to relieve back pain

  • Good evidence to support its use as a safe intervention for low back pain and sciatica

  • Small group focus for plenty of individual attention
