Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs is a yoga therapy course specifically designed for back pain.
The course
12 weekly classes of 75 minutes covering First Aid for Back Pain - Guided relaxation practices to reduce pain - Safe and manageable Yoga Practices to develop strength, mobility and better alignment.

Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs is a ground breaking course because of its attention to all aspects of back health and the in-depth research conducted on it, looking at the effect of this yoga course versus usual GP care (University of York and Versus Arthritis). This showed that Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs led to greater improvements in back function in a safe way. Follow up research showed that it reduced participant’s time off work and had a positive return on investment (ROI Public Health England report here).
The course is suitable for many back conditions. It is gentle yoga and can be used where there are additional health needs, such as fibromyalgia and fatigue. You will be asked about your health to confirm that it will be suitable for you.
